I’m Japanese and my husband is American. I met my husband when I was studying in college in America and we went out for more than 10 years and got married 3 years ago.Well, usually many Japanese girls who live in Japan and want to go on a date with western guys are just interested in people who are not Japanese because many of them think that that is cool. But of course some of them are not like that. They just fall in love with a guy who is nice and caring and the guy just happens to be a western guy.
But the concept of dating with a western guy is usually just being cool and being different. Usually many of them don’t really see a western man’s personality but looks because many of them are not able to communicate with them in English.
You might know that Japan has been so influenced by American culture that they think dating black people or white people are so cool. So dating with a western guy is kinda like carrying a nice looking purse. That’s the fact, unfortunately.
So many Japanese girls who can’t communicate with western guys always just look at western guys’ looks. And if their boyfriend is American who has really good personality but doesn’t really have good appearance like Brad Pitt, their friends would say, ” He is ugly. Why are you with him? “Anyways, so be carefule with the kind of Japanese girls. They don’t treat guys like humans but products. But actually many western guys don’t see many Japanese girls acting like that because they are very good at acting so shy in front of western guys. But behing their back, they are very mean.
